- Red Dead Redemption 2 started receiving new mods since its release

The RedM Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer mod has released, paving the way for modders to get crazy with Rockstar Games' latest title to hit PC. Brought to you by the same people who created FiveM for Grand Theft Auto V, RedM is a mod framework that also happens to have multiplayer capability — and that's where the fun begins. Utilizing a traditional dedicated server and client model, RedM (and its sister mod, FiveM) allows players to have an entirely different kind of online multiplayer experience.

This new RedM tool will eventually allow players and server operators to implement the same features from custom FiveM servers into Red Dead Redemption 2. This means custom maps, cars and vehicles and a ton of other content will eventually be coming to multiplayer in Red Dead Redemption 2. You can download the first version of RedM by heading over to its official website. Red Dead Redemption 2 started receiving new mods since its release last month on the Epic Games Store, ranging from graphics mods to gameplay mods. Earlier this week, the Difficulty Scaler mod has been released online, allowing players to chance damage done to enemies and damage received. Another mod released earlier this month introduced a Horde mode to the game. Even without mods, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an excellent open-world game that's more than worthy of players' time.

The RedM Red Dead Redemption 2 multiplayer mod is now available for download, whether you'd like to host a server or act as a client. A word of warning: bear in mind that this may carry risks, up to and including the banning of your Rockstar Social Club account.

Rockstar is no friend to multiplayer mods, unfortunately, and shut down plenty of them in GTA 5. FiveM and RedM, however, don't mess with your installation and you can switch between them and GTA Online and, hopefully, Red Dead Online without getting banned. You should still exercise some caution, though.
